Hello!
I’m serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Benin, a small Francophone country in West Africa. I teach English as a foreign language to students at a public secondary school and work on outside projects in my school and community. I’ll be out here until September 2009.
C’est tout.

Mae,
Your mom and dad told us about your work and gave us the internet site so we could read more about your work. I am engaged to Charles Howard. I’m not sure if you know him – he is the gentleman that owns the house next door to your parents and they were friends with Charles and his wife, Joan, before she passed away.
This is so interesting and I admire your dedication and work. This can’t be easy to be so far away from all that is familiar and your family. I would imagine it can be very rewarding but also discouraging at times. This world is fortunate to have people like you that really live your service to your country and mankind.
Your parents are such fine people. We have enjoyed visiting with them and they are so willing to help and share tools, etc. We’re hoping they will be able to attend our wedding July 12th.
Wishing you success in your work.

Hello Mae,
We don’t know each other, but I came across your blog while doing some research on the country of Benin. God bless you for the work you’ve done in Benin.
I wish you well in your future endeavors.
Kind regards,
Deborah
